Darryl Jenkins
Chief Executive Director, Coach
Darryl Jenkins, founder of Soaring Grounds Foundation was inspired by the idea of creating a space where families can come together and learn how to collaborate, work together and learn from each other through sports and recreation. Using team work as a motivator Mr. Jenkins has created programming that allows the whole family to participate and engage in building bridges and understanding that there are a multitude of ways to reach a common goal as long as the family unit works together.
Along with sports programming Mr. Jenkins has created a space in which individuals can come and seek out resources to support community and economic development, independence and self sustainability.
It is the vision of Mr. Jenkins that Soaring Grounds provides the bridge to success for all participants who seek support.
Dr. Sharon Gonzalez
Director of Operations
Dr. Sharon Gonzalez is an education with over twenty years of experience working with at risk youth in Harlem. Dr. Gonzalez is passionate about working with young people in motivating them to become successful functioning members of society. As a board member Dr. Gonzalez works diligently in overseeing programming that is aligned with the mission of Soaring Grounds and providing resources to support the Whole Family Approach through recreation and sports. As a lifelong member of Harlem it is the vision of Dr. Gonzalez to see families growing to their full potential and individuals being able to reach career, financial and life goals.
Kedisha Walters works in finance and has spent the last 10 years of her life researching funding to support non profit organizations. As a board member Ms. Walters works directly with creating budgets for programming, soliciting funding and maintaining healthy financial records for the organization. Ms. Walters has also developed a financial literacy program in which participants learn the basic concepts of budgeting, creating wealth and securing financial wellness to create Generational Wealth. It is the vision of Ms. Walters to witness the reversal of high levels of poverty in the Harlem communities that we service.

Remy Gonzalez
Media Director
Remy Gonzalez, a Dominican Republic-born photographer and video guru, is passionate about the power of visuals and their ability to connect people. With a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and a minor in Photography, Remy values the impact that imagery can have in conveying messages and emotions. As a board member, he takes charge of overseeing all visual representations of the Soaring Grounds and its online presence, recognizing the significance of visual storytelling in promoting the mission. Remy actively participates in the cultivation of media development programs, contributing to the Soaring Grounds' initiatives. Growing up in Washington Heights, and Harlem, Remy's diverse background and educational background further enrich his creative perspective and storytelling abilities.
